Product Review – Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eye Shadow Palette

ProductReviewHappy Wednesday Gorgeous!

For some time now, I have had my eyes on one of Tarte’s newer eye shadow palettes. I purchased the Tartelette in Bloom Clay eye shadow palette at Sephora for $45 USD. Right off the bat, I knew this product was going to be sensational because it has the perfect shades for any season.

Tarte showed up and showed OUT with this packaging. It is literally adorable. I do not understand how anyone could resist it. Every time I look at this palette, sitting pretty next to my makeup collection, I cannot help but smile. Even if you despise makeup, (which I doubt because why would you be reading a makeup blog?) this palette would make a really cute decorative accent in your bathroom.

TBC comes as is, with no additional eye shadow brushes or mascara. Oddly enough, it smells pretty good. The palette itself is not very large so it is easy to travel with. I gravitated towards this product because of the matte shades. I’m really not a huge shimmer person, so it was more of a practical purchase for me to invest in a palette where the majority of the shades are matte. TBC’s deepest and darkest shade “Smokeshow” is simply a deep, deep dark brown color. Again, something else I gravitated towards because I do not like the harsh look of a jet black smoky eye on myself, and would rather have the look with a lighter shade. With Fall coming up, I wanted to experiment with more bronze, brown and orangey smoky eyes. Smokeshow would complement Fall shades perfectly.

The first words that came to my mind as I was doing my makeup with this palette is PIGMENT! This bad boy is extremely pigmented but also super light weight and bendable. I would highly advise you not to get carried away with packing your brushes with product because a simple “I just want to deepen my crease” will turn into a daytime smoky eye #realquick.

I personally think that TBC lives up to any and all hype. I have yet to play with an eye shadow palette that has such rich colors, but blends like melted butter. Two thumbs up, 5 starts, A+ – however you want to rate it, I am obsessed and inspired to create some amazing looks with TBC.
